What is Undisruptable about?

Undisruptable explains how people and organisations can reinvent themselves before disruption forces the change on them. Aidan McCullen draws on patterns from nature and on his own move from professional rugby into media and business. The book helps readers spot the cognitive biases that keep them attached to a fading identity, and shows them how to let that identity go.

Who wrote Undisruptable?

Aidan McCullen is an Irish keynote speaker and the host of The Innovation Show, a weekly podcast that has released more than 670 episodes without missing a week. Thinkers50 gave him its Innovation Award in 2025. He played professional rugby more than 100 times for Leinster, Toulouse, the Ireland senior team and Ireland Sevens, and now lectures on Emerging Technology Trends at Trinity Business School in Dublin.

Where do the ideas in Undisruptable come from?

Aidan lived the book before he wrote it. In 2009 a knee injury had ended his rugby career and the Irish job market had collapsed. He took work delivering wine, which led to an internship, then to building a digital agency inside a company, then to RTÉ, where he started The Innovation Show. He described that period to The Irish Times in August 2026.

Who is Undisruptable for?

The book suits leaders whose organisations face technological or market disruption, and individuals working through a career change they did not choose. People in strategy and innovation roles will find frameworks they can apply directly to transformation work. Aidan also brings the ideas into organisations through keynotes and workshops.
